Housing Options in Issaquah

The King County Housing Authority provides the following rental housing and rental assistance programs in Issaquah.

Please note: This list is only an overview. KCHA's housing search tool can give you a better estimate of your eligibility based on your family size, income, and housing preferences.

Section 8 Vouchers

Section 8 vouchers help people with low incomes rent homes on the private market. With a voucher, you pay at least 28 percent, but not more than 40 percent (in the first year), of household income for rent and utilities. KCHA pays the difference between your portion of the rent and the amount your landlord requests. Learn about Section 8 vouchers.

Subsidized Housing

Subsidized housing – which includes public housing – helps people with low incomes rent apartments they can afford. In most cases, they pay no more than 30 percent of their household's monthly income for rent and utilities. KCHA owns and manages nearly all of this type of housing and many communities offer on-site social services. Learn about subsidized housing.

Eastridge House

Eastridge House

Located in historic downtown Issaquah, Eastridge House combines the convenience of nearby shops with the easy pace of country living. Each unit has a deck or patio, and the recently refurbished interiors are equipped with state-of-the-art fire alarms and sprinklers. Three units are fully accessible to people disabilities. Eastridge features secure building entry and elevators.

Family Village

YWCA Family Village at Issaquah is a new affordable housing community in the Issaquah Highlands neighborhood that includes children’s play areas, a skybridge to a Park & Ride and a bus stops, and on-site child care center. It is part of a walkable community next to several parks and Swedish Medical Center Issaquah. The local school district is rated one of the best in the state.

Rose Crest

Situated at the top of the Talus community in Issaquah, Rose Crest features views of the surrounding “Issaquah Alps.” Rose Crest is an ideal setting for raising a family as many parks are located nearby. Moderate-Income Housing

KCHA's moderate-income housing serves people who can pay rent priced closer to normal market rates. Tenants pay a flat rent amount each month, not a percentage of their income. Private companies manage this type of housing. Learn about moderate-income housing.
